Azimuth propulsion thruster with pull open propeller, CP or FP, L- or Z-drive, 750-3,500 kW. Models PU 74 to PU 115 with 1,900-3,300 mm propeller diameter; bolt-in options allow removal without dry docking.
Description
The Brunvoll Propulsion Azimuth Thruster with pull open propeller is built for heavy-duty operation, with a hydrodynamically optimised, low-drag design for good manoeuvrability and course stability. It covers a power range of 750 to 3,500 kW.

- Slim, streamlined gear housing for minimum drag; high rudder efficiency
- Low noise and vibration levels
- Multiple sealing system for the propeller shaft; non-polluting seals for Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL), compliant with US EPA VGP
- Electrical steering gear system with VSD for additional energy savings
- Full feathering option on CP-propeller systems, aligning blades with the flow for minimum resistance in transit
Configurations
- Controllable-pitch or fixed-pitch propeller; various blade materials and designs
- L-drive and Z-drive; dual or twin power input available for Z-drive
- Weld-in and bolt-in mounting; bolt-in options allow the complete thruster to be lifted in or out in one piece without dry docking
- Flexible stem / propeller arm lengths
