Description
BruCon DP & Joystick Control Systems from Brunvoll control thrusters, propulsion units and rudders for any propulsion and thruster configuration.
Dynamic positioning
BruCon DP automatically maintains a vessel's position and heading using its propellers and thrusters – fixed over the seabed, relative to a moving object such as another ship or an underwater vehicle, or at a favourable angle to wind, waves and current. Available as DP0 and IMO DP1, DP2 and DP3 classes.
Operational modes: manual heading, auto heading, auto positioning, target tracking, waypoint tracking, towing, rotation point, dead reckoning.
Sensor interfaces: gyro compasses, DGNSS, wind sensors, motion reference units, speed logs, draft sensors, laser, radar and hydroacoustic position references, inertial measurement units.
Joystick system
A single joystick lever gives the operator control of the vessel's thrusters and propulsion units. Manual or automatic heading can be selected; in auto heading mode the vessel's heading is held using the gyro compass.
