Diesel-mechanical propulsion system with medium-speed engine, Brunvoll gearbox and CP propeller, with optional 2-speed gearbox and PTO, in single or twin-screw configurations with up to 4 engines and 4 generators.
Description
The Brunvoll Medium Speed CPP & Gearbox Propulsion System is a diesel-mechanical controllable-pitch propeller system suited to ship types with a narrow operational profile. It runs at constant or slightly varying engine rpm, and an electric generator with fixed or floating frequency can run simultaneously via a power take-off (PTO).
