Hydraulic motor driven tunnel thruster with 4-blade FPP or CPP, 550–3000 mm, powered from a hydraulic power pack or a centralized onboard hydraulic system; class ABS, BV, CCS, DNV-GL, RINA, NK, KR.
Description
The Fountom Hydraulic Tunnel Thruster with FPP/CPP uses a hydraulic drive motor as an alternative to an electric motor, powered by a hydraulic power pack with electric-driven pump and starter.
A hydraulic thruster can share a centralized hydraulic power source with other onboard equipment such as windlasses, stabilizers, winches, cranes and lifting gear, reducing cost compared with individual power packs.
