Electric Motor Driven Tunnel Thruster
Electric motor driven tunnel thruster with 4-blade FPP or CPP up to 3 m diameter, 37–2000 kW variable-frequency motor, PLC control and DP compatibility; L or Z type; IACS class.
Description
The Fountom Electric Motor Driven Tunnel Thruster is a side thruster installed at the bow or stern for lateral manoeuvrability, allowing vessels to dock or navigate narrow waters without tug assistance. Hydrodynamics are developed with CFD and verified by model basin testing.

- Bridge control panel; wing control panels optional
- Manuals and drawings, special tools, spare parts for at least one year

- Control: embedded computer or PLC with combined motor-propeller control; smooth thrust from 0 to maximum via frequency converter
