Electric Motor Driven Azimuth Thruster
Electric motor driven azimuth thruster with bronze FPP or CPP, 800–2200 mm, 4/5 blades, L or Z drive, electric or hydraulic steering and redundant lubrication; class ABS, BV, CCS, DNV-GL, RINA, NK, KR.
Description
The Fountom Electric Motor Driven Azimuth Thruster is a 360° steerable propulsion unit powered by an electric motor, available with controllable or fixed pitch propellers in Z- or L-drive configuration. Blades and hub are bronze.
Lubricating oil is circulated by two full-capacity pumps for redundancy; in the CP hub, oil circulates via controlled leakage from the hydraulic system so it can be monitored for moisture, cooled and filtered, with condition shown continuously on the bridge control panel.
