About
Servogear AS was established in 1973 by Leif Magnus Endresen in the basement of his family home in Norway. It grew out of a 1972 hobby project to design a V-drive with controllable pitch propellers for a neighbour boat, and the first system was installed on a fishing boat operating in Norwegian waterways.
The company has since delivered more than 1950 installations worldwide and is based at Rubbestadneset, Norway. The design philosophy is to work closely with ship designers during development of the hull lines to get the best interaction between hull and propulsion system.
Servogear is part of BOS Power, combining BOS Power hybrid and electric energy solutions with Servogear propulsion systems.
