Designs
- C-FOIL: anti-cavitation blade section that increases thrust and efficiency. Teignbridge cites independent computer modelling and comparative sea trials showing about 5% more thrust and efficiency than standard designs
- Highly-skewed: standard on luxury motor yachts, fast ferries, patrol craft and other high-speed vessels that need low noise and smooth operation. Each is custom designed to balance section thickness against the degree of skew. Usually nickel aluminium bronze, often designed to classification society rules
