Teignbridge Propeller Design Range

The Teignbridge propeller design range covers fixed-pitch propellers for pleasure craft, superyachts, fast craft, displacement vessels and nozzle-equipped workboats. Fully CNC-machined Class S propellers are available for all designs.

Designs

• C-FOIL: anti-cavitation blade section that increases thrust and efficiency. Teignbridge cites about 5% more thrust and efficiency than standard designs
• Aquafoil: cambered pitch face, for high-speed craft. 3 blades (Aquafoil 55), or 4 blades with 73, 80 or 87% DAR for high horsepower or tunnel installations
• Aquaquad: 4-blade design that reduces vibration on large, high-powered pleasure craft. Usually nickel aluminium bronze, ordered with 1 in. less pitch than an equivalent 3-blade propeller. Can be cupped
• Surface-piercing: scimitar-shaped leading edges for fast motor yachts and racing craft. Made to fine tolerances, dynamically balanced, in nickel aluminium bronze or stainless steel
• Aquapoise 55: for medium-speed inboard cruisers, 55% DAR, usually nickel aluminium bronze
• Aquapoise 65: 65% DAR, nickel aluminium bronze, for high-powered pleasure craft and customs, police and patrol launches. Can be cupped
• Aquaquin: design with an extra blade for smooth, low-vibration running on fast yachts and where tip clearance is limited. Has aerofoil sections, anti-singing edges and high-skew blades
• Highly-skewed: custom low-noise designs for motor yachts, fast ferries and patrol craft. Usually nickel aluminium bronze, often designed to class rules
• Aquastar: for displacement craft. Raked and skewed blades with generous hub dimensions for strength and damage resistance. Usually aluminium bronze, balanced and disc finished
• Kaplan: for nozzle installations on trawlers and tugs. Typically 25–30% more thrust on trawlers, with up to 50% recorded on some tugboats. Has a flat pitch face for easy repair and aerofoil root sections for impact resistance
