Cast Bronze and Fabricated Steel Rudders
Teignbridge standard and custom rudders made in the UK: one-piece nickel aluminium bronze castings, bronze blades on stainless stocks, and fabricated steel or stainless rudders, plus tiller arms, rudder tubes, bearings and collars.
Description
Teignbridge designs and builds a standard range of cast bronze and fabricated steel rudders at its UK factory, and also designs custom rudder assemblies with classification society approval where required.
Configurations
- Single cast rudder: precision-machined from a one-piece nickel aluminium bronze casting
- Cast-in stock rudder: cast bronze blade on a stainless steel cast-in stock
- Bolted blade: rudder blades bolted onto a flanged stock
- Fabricated rudders: steel or stainless steel, welded by coded fabricators
- Velocity aligned rudders: rudders and brackets shaped to work with the propeller to improve water flow, reduce resistance, noise, vibration and cavitation, and improve rudder response, fuel economy and speed
