Description

The Mega-Guard GreenMotor from Praxis Automation Technology is a permanent magnet motor for ship propulsion and generator use. It can drive the propeller shaft directly in full electric or serial hybrid installations, or work as a motor/generator on a hybrid gearbox or inline with the shaft in parallel hybrid systems — propelling the vessel from batteries with the engine stopped, and charging batteries when the engine drives the propeller.

Applications

Zero-emission operation, improved manoeuvrability, fuel savings on vessels with widely varying sailing profiles, and silent running with GreenBattery storage. Controlled by Mega-Guard GreenInverter, Propulsion Control System, Energy Management System and/or GreenGenerator.
