About

STAMFORD | AvK dates its establishment to 1904, when the Cutting Brothers set up an electrical engineering business in Stamford, UK. The AvK side goes back to A. van Kaick, founded in Frankfurt in 1919, which developed a self-regulating alternator in 1938 and produced alternators in Ingolstadt, Germany.

The business is headquartered in England and operates in over 116 countries. Alternators are manufactured at the Xinrong and Xiangjiang plants in Wuxi (China), Craiova (Romania), and Ahilyanagar and Ranjangaon (India), with the Alternator Technology Centre in Stamford (UK).

The site is published by Cummins Generator Technologies, Fountain Court, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, UK.
