HD Hyundai Electric

HD Hyundai Electric was established in 1977 and has its head office at the HD Hyundai Global R&D Center in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. The CEO is Kim Youngki. The company builds power equipment for transmission, substations and distribution and is extending into power generation and demand-side energy solutions.

For about 40 years its marine switchboards, transformers and rotating machines have been supplied to Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and other shipyards and engine makers. Marine products are built to classification society standards such as ABS, LR, DNV, BV, KR, NK and RINA.
