Description

The Fountom Hydraulic Motor Driven Azimuth Thruster is a 360° steerable propulsion unit powered by a hydraulic motor, available with controllable or fixed pitch propellers in Z- or L-drive configuration. Blades and hub are bronze.

Lubricating oil is circulated by two full-capacity pumps for redundancy; in the CP hub, oil circulates via controlled leakage from the hydraulic system, allowing it to be monitored for moisture, cooled and filtered, with oil condition displayed continuously on the bridge control panel.
