Reduction Gearboxes

Brunvoll Reduction Gearboxes are module-based ship gearboxes for propulsion systems, available with vertical, horizontal or coaxial offset as well as twin-in single-out, 2-speed and specially designed versions. A wide choice of PTO/PTI configurations makes them suitable for hybrid systems with multiple engines.

PTO/PTI configurations (single-in single-out with clutch)

• PTO type SA without clutch: secondary-driven PTO for a shaft generator, running whenever the propeller runs; can also be used as PTI with an electric motor
• PTO type PF without clutch: primary-driven PTO always running with the main engine, for generators or pumps
• PTO/PTI type PF with clutch: primary-driven PTO with engine release clutch, able to run independently of the propeller; typically for generators that can also operate as electric motors

• ACG 450 – ACG 1400 single-in gearboxes: 900 – 1700 kW (ACG 450) up to 5000 – 22000 kW (ACG 1200); ACG 1400 for 20000 kW and above
• ACG ...K versions (ACG 600K – 980K): 1800 – 10500 kW
• Twin-in single-out ACG TS 800 – TS 1400: 2x 700 – 1500 kW up to 2x 3700 – 10000 kW
• 2-speed ACG 680 2SP – 1080 2SP
• Larger sizes on request; power range depends on selected rpm and any ice notation
