BlueMAX™ PLUS-Series (SCR+Passive DPF)

The BlueMAX™ PLUS-Series from Nett Technologies combines Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) with a passive Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) to reduce NOx, particulate matter, CO and HC emissions from medium and heavy-duty diesel engines. Variants are offered for off-road, on-road, power generation, marine, gantry crane and locomotive applications.

How it works

A computer-controlled dosing pump meters urea (32.5% water-based solution) through a nozzle into the exhaust upstream of the SCR catalyst; compressed air atomises the urea. The urea decomposes into ammonia, which reduces NOx to nitrogen and water vapour. A standard ammonia slip catalyst (platinum group metal on a metallic honeycomb substrate) prevents ammonia release and also reduces CO and HC. The passive DPF controls diesel particulate matter, with filtration efficiency exceeding 90% even at low soot loads, eliminating visible smoke.

GT5100 to GT5900 cover maximum engine power from 100 hp (75 kW) to 500 hp (370 kW) in 50 hp steps.
