BlueMAX™-Series (SCR Only)
Nett BlueMAX-Series urea SCR system for NOx control on medium to heavy-duty diesel engines up to 500 hp (370 kW), with a marine variant (BlueMAX 320), NOx sensor-based dosing control and standard ammonia slip catalyst.
Description
The Nett BlueMAX™-Series is a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for controlling nitrogen oxides (NOx) from medium to heavy-duty diesel engines. It also reduces CO and HC through its ammonia slip (oxidation) catalyst. Variants cover off-road (BlueMAX 100), on-road (200), power generation (300), marine (320), gantry cranes (350) and locomotives (420).
Technology
- Main components: SCR catalytic converter, computerised Urea Dosing System (UDS) and urea tank
- Urea dosing calculated from an upstream NOx sensor combined with engine air mass flow and temperature sensors; no engine calibration (mapping) required
- Suitable for OEM and retrofit on mechanically and electronically controlled diesel engines
- 32.5% urea solution metered by a computer-controlled pump and atomised with compressed air
- Standard ammonia slip catalyst on a metallic honeycomb substrate coated with platinum group metals
Key features
- Pre-fitted sensors; robust structure for harsh operating conditions
- Maintenance intervals of 2000 to 5000 hours
- Computerised controller with data logging and 3 customisable alarms; colour status display
- Custom housings to fit any engine configuration; direct-fit designs available
- Can be combined with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) for simultaneous NOx and PM control
Technical data – standard models (max. engine power)
- GL5100: 100 hp / 75 kW
- GL5200: 150 hp / 110 kW
- GL5300: 200 hp / 150 kW
- GL5400: 250 hp / 185 kW
- GL5500: 300 hp / 225 kW

Verification
The BlueMAX 100 (off-road) received US EPA verification for nonroad medium and heavy-duty diesel engines; testing at Southwest Research Institute over NRTC and 8-mode cycles showed reductions of 65% NOx, 12% PM, 92% CO and 99% HC.

WEKA Guard & WEKA Protector Type T – Boxcooler Protection System
Protection units exclusive to WEKA copper-nickel boxcoolers: the Guard shields the cooler from welding currents during construction; the Protector Type T guards against ICCP and stray currents in service and keeps the natural anti-fouling layer active — no ICAF needed.
