BlueMAX™ d-Series (SCR+DOC)

The Nett BlueMAX™ d-Series combines a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) upstream of a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system for NOx control on medium to heavy-duty diesel engines. Variants cover off-road (BlueMAX 100d), on-road (200d), power generation (300d), marine (320d), gantry cranes (350d) and locomotives (420d).

Performance

• NOx reduction typically 65 to 90% under transient conditions and over 90% in steady-state operation
• PM reduction greater than 25%, CO greater than 97%, HC greater than 99%

Technology

• SCR sub-system: SCR catalytic converter, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) dosing unit and DEF tank
• ECU calculates urea dosing from an upstream NOx sensor plus engine mass air flow and temperature sensors; no engine mapping required
• Suitable for OEM and retrofit on mechanically and electronically controlled diesel engines
• ECU continuously monitors all sensors and components and reports malfunctions on the system display

Verification

BlueMAX 300d is EPA verified for 75 to 560 kW (100-750 hp) diesel engines in portable and stationary applications, reducing NOx by at least 80%, CO and HC by at least 90% and PM by at least 25%.
