Berg Propulsion was founded in 1912 and has grown from a small coastal shipyard in Sweden into a provider of marine propulsion solutions for commercial and governmental vessels worldwide.
The head office of Berg Propulsion AB is at Andvägen 26 on Hönö, Sweden, and manufacturing is carried out by Berg Propulsion Production AB at Långesand 1 on the neighbouring island of Öckerö.
The company describes its approach as designing for real operating conditions, building for durability and supporting customers over the whole lifetime of a vessel, with a focus on efficiency, uptime and more sustainable shipping.
