Free propeller design and evaluation service: from submitted ship data Fountom simulates and proposes diameter, pitch, blade number, material and estimated weight, mainly for small to mid-size vessels.
Description
Fountom's Propeller Design & Evaluation service is a free preliminary propeller calculation based on ship data submitted via a data collection sheet. Fountom runs the data through simulation software and returns proposed propeller specifications with guidance for ordering or replacement; more detailed information is needed for a final design.

Typical use cases
- Original propeller design or data is no longer available
- Small to mid-size vessels such as fishing boats, passenger ships and barges
- Poor performance of the original propeller: noise and vibration, low propulsion efficiency, engine overload or early blade wear not caused by physical damage
