Description

GEA Westfalia OTC 3-02-137 is a manual-cleaning disc stack separator with a solid-wall bowl and a single centripetal pump, used mostly for diesel oil and lube oil treatment on smaller ships. It clarifies or purifies oils with a low solids content of up to 0.1% by volume.

Design

Clean oil discharged from the bowl under pressure by a centripetal pump; heavy phase discharged by gravity
Separated solids slide down the underside of the discs into the solids holding space, which is emptied periodically by hand
Enclosed design with oil level sight glass and removable hood
3-phase AC motor with flat belt drive to the bowl spindle; all bearings splash-lubricated from a central oil bath
Light weight and low noise; easy conversion into a clarifier
