Description

The RENK **ASL / BSL** gearbox family forms the core of most RENK marine drivetrain systems. Each gearbox is designed to the customer's exact requirements, giving compact units with very high power density that can meet special noise, shock and naval project requirements. ## Configurations - **AS** – transfer gearbox without clutches - **ASL** – single-stage single-in/single-out gearbox with multi-disc (lamella) clutch - **BSL** – two-stage gearbox unit - **BGS** – gas-turbine-driven version ## Key features - Fully flexible diagonal, vertical and horizontal offsets - Multiple operating modes - RENK Gear Control (RGC) for interaction with the propulsion control system (PCS) and local gearbox operation - PTO and PTI, including packages with electric motor - ILS packages to navy requirements - Optional marine cooling components, shaft brake, turning device and external thrust bearings ## Technical data - Power range: built from < 3,000 kW to > 40,000 kW (specific data depends on each customer design) - Axial distance: flexible - Available for noise, shock and flooding requirements - Suitable for SI/SO, CODELAD and CODELOD plants
