RENK ASL2X and BSL2X dual-engine marine gearboxes for 6,000–50,000 kW and above, used in CODAD, COGAG and other combined propulsion plants with frequent part-load operation.
Description
The RENK ASL2X / BSL2X dual-engine marine gear units are designed for ships with high total power demand that frequently operate at partial load. They combine two prime movers on one shaft – diesel engines in CODAD (Combined Diesel and Diesel) plants or gas turbines in COGAG (Combined Gas turbine and Gas turbine) plants, individually or together – and also serve as combining gearboxes in complex combined propulsion systems.
