Marine Fuel Cell Modules (XPM, HPM-40, HPM-250)
Genevos fuel cell modules for vessel propulsion and onboard power: the SOFC-based XPM (multi-MW, multi-fuel) and the PEM-based HPM-40 and HPM-250 hydrogen modules with integrated DC/DC converter.
Description
Genevos develops marine fuel cell modules for vessel propulsion and onboard energy systems. The range covers a fuel-flexible solid oxide (SOFC) module for large, energy-intensive ships and hydrogen PEM modules for coastal, inland and offshore vessels.
Modules
- XPM – high-temperature SOFC technology with steel-supported ceramic cells. Scalable to the multi-MW range; can run on LNG, bio-methane, methanol, hydrogen and ammonia. Aimed at high-power, energy-intensive vessels.
- HPM-40 – low-temperature PEM graphite fuel cell for coastal and inland vessels. Scalable up to 200 kW (superseded by the HPM-250), fuelled by hydrogen gas or liquid. Fully integrated drop-in module with DC/DC converter; compact size L 140 x W 80 x H 55 cm.
- HPM-250 – low-temperature PEM graphite fuel cell with high power density, scalable to multi-MW and suitable for offshore applications. Hydrogen gas or liquid; delivered as an integrated drop-in module with DC/DC converter.
Key features
