GEA Westfalia OTC 2-02-137 manual-cleaning disc separator for diesel and lube oil on smaller ships; GO/MDO 1,150 l/h, MDO 900 l/h; solids up to 0.1% by volume.
Description
GEA Westfalia OTC 2-02-137 is a manual-cleaning disc stack separator with a solid-wall bowl and a single centripetal pump, used mostly for diesel oil and lube oil treatment on smaller ships. It clarifies or purifies oils with a low solids content of up to 0.1% by volume.
Design
- Clean oil discharged from the bowl under pressure by a centripetal pump; heavy phase discharged by gravity
- Separated solids slide down the underside of the discs into the solids holding space, which is emptied periodically by hand
- Enclosed design with oil level sight glass and removable hood
- 3-phase AC motor with flat belt drive to the bowl spindle; all bearings splash-lubricated from a central oil bath
- Light weight and low noise; easy conversion into a clarifier
