WSK MMB 304 Centrifuge
WSK MMB 304 belt-driven, solids-retaining disc stack centrifuge for purifying or clarifying MDO, lube, hydraulic and mineral oils on board ships; throughput 2,500 l/h (661 gph).
Description
WSK MMB 304 is a high-speed, belt-driven, solids-retaining disc stack centrifuge (type MMB 304S-11) for purification or clarification of distillates, marine diesel oils, lubricating oils, hydraulic oils and other mineral oils on board ships and in industrial installations. It separates mineral oils from water and solid particles (sludge). Separator Spares & Equipment supplies complete units from stock in Houma, Louisiana, as an authorized WSK distributor.
Design
- Lower frame, intermediate frame, top frame and removable frame hood
- Electric motor drives a friction coupling and flat belt to the vertical drive shaft, giving a gradual start and overload protection
- Requires an independent oil feed pump
- Built-in paring disc pump for continuous discharge of cleaned oil; solids collect in the bowl and are removed manually at regular intervals
