Powerstart M10 is the smallest hydraulic starter in the range, for engines up to 4 litres, delivering 30 Nm maximum torque at 3,000 psi (207 bar); all cast iron construction.
Description
The Powerstart M10 hydraulic starter motor is the smallest model in the range, suited to engines of up to 4 litres. Its cast iron construction, including flange and pinion housing, makes it highly resistant to rust and corrosion.
Key features
- Heavy-duty inertia bendix and pinion machined from one cast block, eliminating the pressed-on pinion that is a common failure point in other starters
- Interchangeable pinion and mounting flange, so the starter can be configured to suit most engines
- Hydraulic energy can be stored indefinitely when installed and maintained to Powerstart specifications, and recharged with a hand pump after discharge
- Unaffected by very hot or cold conditions (with correct oil viscosity) and reliable after long shutdown periods
- Low maintenance: enclosed design with all internal components immersed in oil, protecting them from conditions that damage electric or vane starters

- Steel pinion, or beryllium-copper non-spark pinion to reduce the risk of sparks in potentially hazardous environments
