Marine Bow Thruster
Tunnel-type bow thruster, 550–3000 mm diameter and 75–2500 kW, with fixed or controllable pitch propeller, L- or Z-drive, and electric, hydraulic or diesel drive; DP-compatible.
Description
The Fountom Marine Bow Thruster is a tunnel thruster installed at the bow to improve manoeuvring when docking or sailing in narrow waters. Hydrodynamics are developed with CFD and verified by model basin testing to improve propeller efficiency and reduce noise and vibration.
