Dynamic Positioning Training Courses
Dynamic positioning training based on Nautical Institute standards, with DP0/DP1/DP2 simulators: DP Induction (1 day), DP Operator (3 days), DP Maintenance and combined or customized courses, on board, in house or by e-learning.
Description
Sirehna provides dynamic positioning training for deck officers, technical and on-shore personnel based on Nautical Institute (NI) standards. Courses use Sirehna's DP0, DP1 and DP2 simulators and sensors, with standard or customized scenarios adapted to day-to-day operations.
Courses
- DP Induction (DPI): 1 day, theory and practice, 8 to 12 participants. For shipowners, technical inspectors, fleet managers, junior DPOs, DPOs, navigators, masters and ETOs. Covers DP principles, systems, applications, sensors and actuators, advantages and limitations, and familiarization with EasyDP products on the simulator.
- DP Operator (DP0): 3 days, 4 to 6 participants. For navigators, masters and DPOs not familiar with EasyDP systems. Covers hydrodynamics, ship model, Kalman filter, capability, DP modes, functions, settings, online capabilities, DP incidents and emergency procedures, with operator evaluation.
- DP Maintenance (DPM): for navigators, electrical and electronic maintenance staff and DPOs using EasyDP. Covers sensor inputs, redundancy, power, electrical diagrams, spares management, repair, fault detection, troubleshooting and remote access kit, with maintenance evaluation.
- Combined DPO and DPM, and modular customized courses

- User and maintenance manuals, post-training follow-up and support
- Delivery on board (at sea or at berth), at Sirehna or dedicated facilities worldwide, or by e-learning
