About

Glendinning Products was started by Hylands (Glen) Glendinning, who had worked in the marine industry from 1953 to 1971 and set out to build a more durable twin-engine synchronizer. With his wife Ruth and their three sons, he sold the first Automatic Synchronizer in 1972.

In 1983 the operation moved to its current location in Conway, South Carolina. The product line has since broadened beyond marine into recreational vehicle, trucking, off-road, agricultural and racing markets. John Glendinning was named president in 2011, and he and his brother Paul remain the driving forces of the family company.

Research and design, a CNC machine shop, tool and die work and assembly are located in the same facility, which operates under ISO 9001:2015 certification.
