VETUS Equipment
VETUS VDR Propeller Shaft Drives
VETUS VDR drives combine a self-aligning thrust bearing with a double-acting constant velocity joint, allowing softer engine mounts; up to 24,000 N thrust, for 25–70 mm shafts.
Description
The VETUS DRIVE (type VDR) combines a self-aligning thrust bearing and a double-acting constant velocity joint between engine and propeller shaft. Propeller thrust is taken by the built-in thrust bearing, so the engine can sit on softer mounts, reducing vibration and transmitted noise.
