VETUS was founded in 1964 and has its headquarters at Havenstraat 11 in Schiedam, the Netherlands. The registered company is VETUS B.V., and the site describes it as a member of the YANMAR Marine Recreational Business Unit.
The company has subsidiaries in 18 countries, supported by a worldwide distribution and service network. Products are designed and developed in-house by its own engineering team, and VETUS works with yacht builders and marine training establishments.
