VETUS Cooling Water Strainers
Raw-water cooling strainers with transparent inspection covers: type 330 (13–38 mm), type 470 (12.7–38.1 mm, 23–200 l/min) and type 1900 (63/76 mm, 570–820 l/min), plus NAVIDURIN® heavy-duty versions.
Description
VETUS cooling water strainers filter raw cooling water ahead of the engine. All have a transparent cover for checking the filter without dismantling; the filter can be cleaned quickly.
Range
- Type 330 – hose connections 13, 16, 19, 25, 32 and 38 mm; e.g. 23 l/min (13 mm), 35 l/min (16 mm); installation kits for 13, 19, 25 and 32 mm hose
- NAVIDURIN® heavy-duty type 330 – with metal inspection lid
- Type 470 – hose connections 12.7 to 38.1 mm; recommended flow 23 l/min (12.7 mm), 51 l/min (19.1 mm), 91 l/min (25.4 mm), 143 l/min (31.8 mm), 200 l/min (38.1 mm)
- Type 1900 – G 2½ / 63 mm (570 l/min) and G 3 / 76 mm (820 l/min) connections
Installation
- Install the strainer above the waterline; only type CWS and the FTR330.M series may be installed below it
- Always fit a seacock behind the inlet water scoop
