noriSync marine Power Management System for generator start/stop, synchronisation, load sharing, load shedding and blackout prevention, built around the noriSys 4 PMC controller.
Description
The noriSync Power Management System (PMS) from Noris monitors and controls generation and distribution of electrical power on board ships. It synchronises generators with the onboard grid, manages load sharing and automatically starts or stops generator sets according to power demand, helping optimise generator efficiency, cut fuel consumption and emissions, and keep the onboard supply stable. It is scalable to different vessel types and power system architectures.
Power Management Controller
The noriSys 4 Power Management Controller (PMC), based on an ARM 32-bit Cortex-M4 processor with DSP, controls and protects the electrical power system, either standalone or as part of a larger noriSync system, with an optional touchscreen for visualisation. It handles isolated and parallel operation for generator sets, emergency generators, shaft generators, shore connections and bus-tie breakers.
