Hydromaster Retractable Thrusters
Retractable bow/stern thrusters that retract flush with the hull; L-drive (electric or hydraulic) or Z-drive (diesel or horizontal electric motor), fixed or 360° steerable, with combi tunnel-thruster mode.
Description
The Hydromaster Retractable Thruster provides auxiliary propulsion, manoeuvrability and station keeping, typically installed in the bow. When not in use it retracts fully into the hull, flush with the bottom, for minimal drag.
Configurations
- L-drive, electric or hydraulic driven
- Z-drive for a diesel engine or horizontal electric motor
- Non-steerable version (maximum transverse thrust) or fully 360° steerable version
- Combi mode: tunnel extensions on either side of the mounting box give bi-directional transverse thrust in the retracted position
- Hydraulic or electric lifting and steering
