Flexible Onshore Power Supply (OPS)

Containerised, semi-mobile onshore power supply (cold ironing) solutions for ships at berth, powered by hydrogen, battery, LNG or LBG PowerPacs or PowerBarges, compliant with IEC standards.

Description

eCap Marine's Flexible Onshore Power Supply (OPS) solutions supply ships at berth with electricity so their main and auxiliary engines can be shut down (cold ironing). Unlike stationary single-berth OPS, the systems are containerised and semi-mobile, providing off-grid, independent power where grid capacity is limited.

Key features

  • Containerised and modular, with all required components including the safety system
  • Compact footprint with lower CAPEX and OPEX than stationary systems
  • Semi-mobile for flexible, high utilisation across berths
  • Stable, decentralised power supply independent of the grid
  • Compliant with IEC standards and local regulations
  • Customised for each application

Energy sources

  • H2PowerPac (green hydrogen fuel cells)
  • Battery PowerPac
  • LNG PowerPac or LBG (liquefied biogas) PowerPac
  • PowerBarge for cruise ships

Applications

Container ships, cruise ships and other vessels at berth.
