Description
Yanmar's dual-fuel marine engines run on natural gas or diesel fuel and comply with IMO NOx Tier III and SOx Emission Control Area requirements. Yanmar describes the propulsion version as a world first for single-engine, single-shaft vessels.
Key features
- Real-time cylinder-pressure analysis with high-speed control prevents knocking, even on natural gas with a low methane number, so the engine can run on natural gas in any region without output restrictions
- Switch from diesel to gas mode during navigation at up to 100% output
- Safe, instantaneous changeover from gas back to diesel in emergencies
- Micro-pilot fuel compression ignition
