Logan Clutch Component
LCT Series Clutches
Logan LCT shaft-mounted dry disc clutches with integral torsional coupling for gearbox and front-of-engine fire-fighting pump drives on tugs and workboats, 500–2000 HP.
Description
Logan LCT Series clutches are shaft-mounted clutches with an integral torsional coupling, designed to be mounted on and carried by the input shaft of a gearbox or fire-fighting pump. The dry multiple-disc pack transmits high torque in a small envelope, while the torsional coupling isolates the clutch, pump or gearbox from engine torsional vibration.
Key features
- Fluid or air actuated, self-adjusting disc pack for remote activation from bridge or wheelhouse
- Standard range 500–2000 HP; modified standards for larger or smaller ratings and OEM applications
- Integral torsional coupling minimises axial length
- Large bore capability for most gearbox and fire pump shafts
- Marine class approvals available
Applications
- Front-of-engine fire-fighting (FiFi) systems on workboats and tugboats
- Any application needing a shaft-mounted dry clutch with integral torsional coupling
