Force Control Industries Component
Force Control Power Take-Off (PTO) Clutches
Oil-shear multiple-disc PTO clutch that mounts to diesel or gasoline engines to drive pumps and other systems; 1300 HP design, up to four hydraulic pumps, marine duty options.
Description
The Force Control Power Take-Off (PTO) Clutch mounts to a diesel or gasoline engine to drive pumps, chippers, mulchers, crushers and other systems. It features a short overall length, high capacity, an internal cooling system, an optional brake for slowing high-inertia loads, and drive pads for up to four hydraulic pumps.
Operation
The clutch is engaged by compressing a multiple-disc friction stack with air or hydraulic pressure; the pressure determines the torque transmitted. Transmission fluid flows through an open-centre hub, through the friction stack and out to the housing, then returns to the sump for recirculation. This Oil Shear Technology prevents wear on the friction surfaces, carries heat to the housing and lubricates all internal parts.
