Davis Exhaust Gas Hazard Calculator
Online tool from W.R. Davis Engineering giving initial risk levels for gas turbine exhaust plumes on offshore rigs: derrick impingement, exhaust inhalation and helicopter flight safety.
Description
The Davis Exhaust Gas Hazard Calculator is an online tool from W.R. Davis Engineering that gives offshore rig topside designers an initial assessment of whether gas turbine exhaust plumes are likely to be a problem.
Outputs
Risk levels for derrick impingement, exhaust constituent inhalation and helicopter flight safety, calculated from exhaust uptake diameter, gas temperature, ambient air temperature, and horizontal and vertical displacement to the location of concern. Access is provided via login on request.
