CJR Stern Tubes & Shaft Log Assemblies
Stern tubes and shaft logs for shaft diameters up to 180 mm in GRP, mild steel, aluminium or bronze, supplied machined and assembled with bearing and seal; hydrostatic testing to IACS requirements.
Description
CJR Stern Tubes and Shaft Log Assemblies are made to suit propeller shaft diameters up to 180 mm. A shaft log is a short stern tube, usually flanged for bolting to a bulkhead, and can be supplied fully assembled with half bearing and shaft seal.
Construction
- Materials: polyester or epoxy GRP, mild steel, aluminium or bronze
- Supplied fully machined and, where appropriate, assembled with bearing and shaft seal
- In-house marine-grade GRP assemblies designed for saltwater service and resistant to delamination
- Hydrostatic testing to IACS requirements
- Standard sizes available from stock
Installation
- Suitable for glass-in, weld-in and Chockfast fitting
- Laser alignment tool available for accurate alignment during installation
