CJR Shaft Seals
Propeller shaft seals from CJR Propulsion: Sure Seal self-aligning units with removable cap for easy seal replacement, and traditional gland and packing pusher designs for workboats; water-lubricated.
Description
CJR Shaft Seals are propeller shaft sealing units supplied to customer preference. Standard options are the Sure Seal self-aligning unit and the traditional gland and packing pusher design.
Sure Seal
- Widely used on pleasure boats and most commercial vessels
- Removable cap gives access for fitting a spare seal, simplifying servicing in tight spaces and in some cases avoiding lifting the vessel
- Easy installation on typical shaft arrangements
Gland and packing pusher
- Simple, reliable design used in the commercial workboat sector
- Fixed flange connection or flexible hose mounting to absorb shaft movement and misalignment
- Machined in-house; bespoke tooling can match an existing setup
Shaft seals require a water feed for lubrication.
