Description
Wärtsilä turbocharger services keep ship engine turbochargers in optimal condition for fuel efficiency and low emissions. Wärtsilä operates certified workshops for Accelleron, Napier and KBB turbochargers, and turbocharger maintenance can be done together with engine maintenance or separately, or included in long-term maintenance agreements.

Upgrades
- Turbocharger upgrades with modern higher-efficiency turbochargers combined with engine tuning: fuel savings of up to 3%, NOx reductions to meet emission limits, and more operating flexibility
- Turbocharger Safety package: monitors turbochargers for critical faults for early detection
- Wärtsilä Turbo standby cleaner: washes the turbine while the engine is not running – suited to cruise vessels, ferries and plants in environmentally sensitive areas
- Wärtsilä Engine Part-Load Optimization (WPLO) for 2-stroke engines
Regular cleaning of turbine and compressor sides extends intervals between overhauls and lowers maintenance costs.
