Onboard survey, 3D laser scanning, feasibility and engineering studies, class drawings and installation supervision for retrofitting ERMA FIRST ballast water treatment systems on existing vessels.
Description
ERMA FIRST Retrofit Services cover the engineering needed to install an ERMA FIRST Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) on an existing vessel, from initial onboard survey to supervision of the installation works. Surveys are carried out during dry docking or while the vessel is in port.
Inspection and reporting
- One-day onboard attendance to assess installation feasibility
- Survey report delivered electronically about one week after the survey
3D laser scanning and engineering
- 3D laser scanning of all relevant areas; point cloud used to evaluate installation layouts
- 3D modelling of main piping and preliminary equipment arrangement
- Engineering study including BWTS modelling, piping routing, structural and outfitting modifications
- Delivery about 20 weeks after the onboard survey
Deliverables include:
- Isometric piping drawings with materials and parts lists
- Detailed piping sections/spools
- Modified as-built structural, outfitting, piping diagram and single-line electrical drawings
- Drawings for Classification Society and/or Flag State approval
- Technical specification of installation and modification works for shipyard quotations
- All 3D scan files
