Description

K-Steering 600 is a steering control system for single- or dual-rudder vessels. Two controllers, located near the steering gear, are linked by a communication bus to the operator panels and steering devices, reducing cabling and installation cost.

Components

Helmsman wheel – sends commands on redundant CAN lines; controls single or twin rudders
Mini-wheel – redundant CAN; single or twin rudders in synchronous mode; optional separate or integrated feedback display
Rudder Control Panel – touch-sensitive panel with alarm indication, setpoint and feedback indication, mode selection, pump control, control position indication and dimming/palette control

Applications

Compatible with most industry-standard steering gears: torque motor, solenoid valve, proportional and rotary vane
Control positions on the forward bridge centre, bridge wings (optional backup NFU tillers) and aft bridge
Accepts rudder set-point commands from autopilot, Dynamic Positioning (DP) or joystick systems
Integrated with K-Bridge INS
