Description
Mecc Alte Totally Enclosed alternators and pre-engineered generators are built for harsh environments. Originally developed for line-haul locomotives and switching applications, they are also used on port gantry cranes and offshore oil platforms.
Key features
- Rugged insulation system with black severe-environment overcoat protecting against dust, oil and grease
- Stator options: additional mechanical bracing and end-turn lacing, VPI treatment
- Rotor options: VPI, closer shaft machining tolerances and shrink collars to prevent core pack movement
- Special lead terminations (long leads, bus bars), cable glands, cooling fans, adaptors and mounting reinforcement
