Description
LiqTech's best value configuration is a compact scrubber wastewater treatment unit for closed-loop and hybrid scrubbers. It removes unburned fuel oil, soot, ash, heavy metals and other particles captured in the scrubber process, delivering water quality well below 25 NTU/FNU to meet IMO sulphur cap and local discharge limits.

How it works
The unit is a low-pressure ultrafiltration system with silicon carbide (SiC) ceramic membranes in a cross-flow configuration. The feed flows tangentially across the membrane surface; the resulting turbulence sweeps particles back into the feed, keeping flux high. Permeate (clean water) passes to a permeate tank, while the retentate is up-concentrated and bled off as liquid sludge. SiC's hardness allows very high cross-flow velocities.
