Geislinger GESILCO® DISC Lightweight Coupling
Lightweight, electrically insulating composite membrane coupling for close-coupled gensets and diesel-electric drives, with torque up to 10 MNm and diameters up to 3.5 m.
Description
The Geislinger GESILCO® DISC is a lightweight, maintenance-free composite membrane coupling designed for close-coupled (single-bearing) generator sets, diesel-electric drives and integrated wind turbine drivetrains. It connects the generator to the engine and electrically isolates it, protecting crankshaft bearings from electric corrosion.

- Flat membrane of carbon and glass fibres transmits high vibratory torques and radial forces at high speeds
- Homokinetic, non-magnetic and non-conductive
- Single disc compensates angular and axial misalignment; two membranes also compensate radial misalignment
- Low, almost linear reaction forces and high shock resistance
- Maintenance-free and easy to install; 100% in-house engineering and production in Austria
