H-Series

The ePropulsion H-Series is a 60–250 kW electric inboard propulsion range for large sailing yachts, motor vessels and commercial craft of 60 to 100 ft (18–30 m) with displacements up to 200 tons. The system combines the H-100 motor, controller, battery distribution unit (BDU), custom battery banks and HMI controls on a modular architecture that lets builders scale power and range by adding motors, controllers and batteries.

H-100 motor

• 100 kW permanent magnet motor with flat-wire winding (25% higher slot fill)
• Around two-thirds lighter and 50% more compact than an equivalent diesel engine
• Maximum torque 2,000 Nm; rated torque 797 Nm at 1150 rpm
• Rated voltage 540 VDC; rated efficiency 96%
• Insulation class H; closed-loop water cooling
• Operating temperature -25 to +55 °C; dimensions 443 x 315 mm
• IP67, anti-corrosion measures, high-accuracy position feedback

Controller

• Rated power 160 kVA, rated output current 270 A
• Rated input 540 VDC, input range 400–720 VDC; logic supply 9–16 V
• Maximum efficiency 98%; IP67

Batteries

• System rated voltage 540 VDC (range 487–604 VDC)
• Capacity and total energy configured to the required range and power (e.g. 500 kWh for a 100 kW motor at full power for five hours)
• Over 3,500 cycles at 80% SoH (25 °C); storage life over 8 years
• Discharge -30 to 60 °C; charging 0 to 60 °C

• HMI with Smart Throttle and 5-inch Smart Display
• Boating IoT platform with configurable remote monitoring of speed, power, mileage, tracking and safety alerts via web portal
