Ecoexhaust System / Package
Marine SCR systems
Compact marine SCR and SCR-DPF systems for 2- and 4-stroke diesel engines, for IMO Tier III / MARPOL Annex VI compliance on newbuilds and retrofits operating in NECA and ECA areas.
Description
Ecoexhaust marine SCR systems use selective catalytic reduction to cut NOx emissions from marine diesel engines in line with IMO Tier III. Ecoexhaust designs and manufactures compact SCR and SCR-DPF systems for newbuilds and retrofits, with a focus on space-constrained engine rooms on workboats, offshore vessels, inland and short sea vessels.
Applications
- 2-stroke and 4-stroke marine engines
- IMO Tier III / MARPOL Annex VI compliance
- Norwegian NOx tax reduction
- NECA and ECA operating areas
- Newbuild and retrofit installations
- Engine-agnostic: supports different engine brands and configurations
Configurations
- Post-turbo and pre-turbo SCR layouts
- Stand-alone SCR reactors
- Combined SCR-DPF systems
- Integration with existing exhaust systems
- Exhaust gas bypass valves and soot blowers
Design features
- Compact, modular design
- Optimized exhaust back-pressure (Δp)
- Stable NOx reduction across variable engine loads
- Catalyst selection matched to exhaust temperature and fuel type
- Retrofit designs with minimal changes to existing exhaust piping and reduced installation downtime
Fuel compatibility
MGO/MDO, HFO (where applicable), methanol, HVO, ammonia, LNG.
Certification
Designed to support IMO Tier III compliance, the EIAPP certification process and integration into the vessel NOx Technical File. Ecoexhaust works with DNV, Lloyd's Register, ABS and Bureau Veritas. Typical project data include engine type and rating, exhaust gas temperature and flow, allowable back-pressure and estimated urea (AUS40/DEF) consumption.
